Guitar Tips of the Week - Changing Strings

Tips: Whenever you change guitar strings, always do it 3 at a time. Do not take out all 6 at one time.

Reason: Your guitar neck will WARP (simple terms: bend) due to sudden release of tension of the 6 strings.

When that happens,
- your strings may get a high possibility of buzzing when you play due to unnecessary contact with the fret board at the wrong places.
- you may find it hard to tune to the correct standard tuning and whatever chords and notes you play will sound wierd and incorrect.

Thanks for creating such a nice site and offer beginners like me useful tips! Your Dui Ni Ai Bu Wan is the greatest cover i've heard!

Just last week i changed all 6 strings of my guitar at the same time, and you're right, my thickest string end up buzzing because of contact with other frets, may i know what can i do to solve this issue?

Thank you very much.

How are you? I was researching for guitar maintenance and your website popped up.

Great stuff! Thanks.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I have a similar content on my website. You can consider it as your article's extensive version. Would you mind checking it out?

Anyway, have a great day.
